Nikon’s Impressive Hybrid AF

The Nikon Z50 features Nikon’s excellent hybrid autofocus system as well as 209-autofocus points covering 90% of the frame, horizontally and vertically. This coverage combined with incredibly quick and accurate Intelligent Eye-Detection makes for edge-to-edge sharpness, clarity and detail. The autofocus will even work incredibly well in low-light conditions as the camera sees an ISO range of 100–51200 ISO range and low-light autofocus down to -4 EV.

Sharp EVF and Tilting Touchscreen

Nikon has designed an impressively sharp electronic viewfinder that can (2360k-dot) can display a life-like and natural image, matching up to that of a DSLR optical viewfinder. This EVF can also display images as they’ll look with the any of the creative modes applied. To accompany the EVF, the Z50 features a tilting 3.2” 1040k-dot LCD touchscreen, offering complete flexibility and versatility in your shooting.

The Perfect Upgrade

If you’re looking to upgrade to a mirrorless system and also want a step-up in features, the Nikon Z50 has to be considered. Upgrading from the likes of the D7500, the Z50 offers the classic Nikon ergonomics of a deep grip for comfortable shooting with easy access to all controls including the touchscreen. The camera operation and layout is intuitive and it’s easy to pick up if this is your first Nikon camera yet, familiar for a current Nikon user. You’re easily connected via a fast Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection and you’ll have access to Nikon’s SnapBridge app. Finally, you’re not limited when opting into the Nikon Z ecosystem. You’re still able to use all Nikon accessories such as off camera remote controls, speedlights and recorders; and with the FTZ Mount Adapter, you have access to all Nikon F Lenses.


Nikon Z 16-50mm f3.5-6.3 DX VR Lens

The NIKKOR Z DX 16–50mm f/3.5–6.3 VR is one of the first two, extremely-portable NIKKOR Z DX zoom lenses capable of quick focus that is quiet and steady, ideal for video and still imagery. This particular lens is referred to as a “pancake” zoom capable of wonderful wide-angle to portrait views. It has a great focal range from wide-angle to normal 16-50mm and a minim focusing distance of only 0.2m ensuring crisp images during close-ups.
